Right! As a fully fledged Bird Brigade member, there's something important you need to know. Not all birds are doing well. Some of my friends are in real trouble.

How do we know which birds need help?
Sal

Scientists give every bird a conservation status. It's like a health check. Green, Amber or Red. The dot on each card tells you. Tap to find out more!

The Conservation Status System

Green Doing well — not in danger
Amber Keep an eye on them — numbers are changing
Red In trouble — they need our help to survive

These birds need our help 🔴

Red list — their numbers are declining and they are in trouble

A quick word — please don't feed the seagulls. I know we look hungry, but it makes us aggressive and causes problems for everyone. Thanks!

Keep an eye on these ones 🟡

Amber list — their numbers are changing and we need to watch them carefully

These ones are doing well 🟢

Green list — thriving and not currently at risk

Oh, and some of my mates from town sometimes swing by the beach too. Did you spot them on your trip?
